Offering a range of groups for children of all ages, and a group for parents & toddlers, Beach Club shares Bible characters and parables in a way that everyone can understand. Starting and ending the morning on a mound of sand, the community gathers together to enjoy times of listening, learning, and sharing in the wonder of the Bible.

We at Beach Club believe we are all sinners, and that the Lord Jesus Christ is the only Saviour. We accept the Bible as the only authority for teaching the gospel of grace.
Our History
About 100 years ago, at the end of World War 1, the Children’s Special Service Mission (CSSM) chose Mersea as the venue for their special type of Children’s Services. Children heard of Bible characters and parables in a way which they could understand, gathering at a decorated mound of sand to enjoy times of listening, learning, and sharing in the wonder of the Bible.
After World War Two, CSSM carried on for a time, but when they could no longer provide enough workers, the work was continued as it is currently, by workers from the local churches.
