Introduction
We commit ourselves to the nurturing, protection and safekeeping of all, especially children, young people and vulnerable adults.
Policy Overview
It is our responsibility to create a safe environment where children, young people and vulnerable adults are valued and respected. It is also the responsibility of each member to prevent the physical, sexual and emotional abuse of children, young people and vulnerable adults and to report any abuse discovered or suspected to the Child and Vulnerable Adult Protection advocates.
Each worker knows the good practice guidelines and recommendations and will undertake to observe them.
Children and vulnerable adults have as much to give as to receive. We will listen to them and as we nurture them in worship, learning and community life we will respect their wishes and feelings.
All Beach Club workers are of good standing and where possible have undergone a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and have the commendation of a local church. The names of our child protection advocates are displayed on the door of the refreshment hut, or you can speak to your child’s group leader.
