Beach Club Day 3 was action-packed and exciting, with another round of ‘Ultimate Beach Club Leader’ and an awesome balloon-based team challenge.

Breaking with tradition…
For the first time, Beach Club’s main venue wasn’t actually on the beach, but was instead moved onto the green behind the beach huts, and a set of gazebos placed above it to provide shade…
…working TOO hard!
We rather impressively managed to break one of our mallets this morning bashing in the group sign holders.
This particular mallet has served us well over the years, though it isn’t quite as popular as some of the sledgehammers we use for the windbreaks.

Water Games!
The 4-6’s group had fun this morning playing with wet sponges and buckets of cold, refreshing water.
Water-based games were a recurring theme in all of the other groups as well – with water being a great way to stay cool in the really hot weather.
Learning about Peter…
Andrew first introduced today’s story on the ‘Mound’, and then in each of our groups we got to hear a little bit more about Mary Magdalene’s encounter with Jesus.
Peter: This Changes Everything

Games Afternoon…
Starting at 2:30pm was the games afternoon – an opportunity to form a team and compete against other groups for a prize.
This year marked the introduction of a new ‘Crazy Golf’ challenge that proved both popular and successful throughout the afternoon.
Results from the competition will be announced on the beach tomorrow.
Be sure to join us again tomorrow for more fun, games & stories at Beach Club! We can’t wait to see you again, and we hope you’ll be there with us at 10:15am.
