Beach Club 2025 starts on Monday 28th July, and runs through to Friday 1st August, from 10am until 12pm. You’ll find us on the beach at the bottom of Empress Avenue, West Mersea. We’re really looking forward to seeing you all!

What will happen?
We’ve made some exciting changes to the way Beach Club works this year.
You do not need to register
This year our Beach Club team will lead the various activities, but parents/guardians will be responsible for their children’s safety throughout the morning. We will not be collecting registration information, and you do not need to register for Beach Club – simply turn up each day.
At the start of Beach Club
We begin by gathering on the mound (the main arena) for our popular session including songs, stories and fun for children of all ages.
After the mound: activities, craft and games!
When you arrive you’ll be given a ticket by the Welcome Desk with your timeslots for each of the different activities. After our mound time, parents/guardians will be able to take their children to each of the different areas. We’ll have leaders and helpers in each area to guide you through the activities and make sure you’re having fun!
Is your child 11+?
We’ve got a separate group after the mound time for children over the age of 11, with tailored activities more suited to the older age group. We can give you more information about what’s happening for the 11+ group each day when you arrive.
During the week
Thursday 6pm to 8:30pm: Evening BBQ and games
For the 11+ group, adults and our Beach Club crew
We’re holding our traditional evening of games and a free BBQ for our 11+ group as well as parents/guardians and Beach Club crew. Join us at West Mersea Free Church on Thursday 31st July at 6pm.
Friday 12pm onwards: the Beach Club Picnic
Everyone is welcome to join our annual Beach Club picnic, immediately after Beach Club on the Friday at the end of the week. We’ll leave our venues up, provide drinks and light refreshments, just remember to bring your picnic!
Special Beach Club Service
Continue the fun on Sunday 3rd August! At the end of the Beach Club week we have a special Beach Club service at West Mersea Free Church, celebrating what we’ve been up to throughout the week, and including more fun and games that we didn’t get to include whilst we were on the beach.
