On Monday we started to learn about Peter and his friendship with Jesus. We saw when Jesus borrowed Peter’s boat and they caught all those fish. Peter and his friends decided to follow Jesus. I hope you will decide to do the same.
Tuesday story told about Peter walking on the water after Jesus had told him to “come” and that is was Jesus’ help that saved him from sinking. We hope that you too will know what it means to be rescued by Jesus.
On Wednesday we saw Peter with the others at Jesus’ tomb as it was discovered Jesus wasn’t there but had risen from the dead. As this amazing event changed everything for Peter and for countless others over the years I hope this will change everything for you too.
Thursday’s story told us about how Peter denied even knowing Jesus and after days of grief and sorrow we saw Jesus forgive him and giving him a major job to do. I hope you too will come to know Jesus’ forgiveness and start to love, trust and follow him just as Peter did.
Finally on Friday we saw Peter in prison as a result of his faith in Jesus and how God miraculously enabled him to escape and protected him from harm after his friends prayed for him. I pray that you too will see God’s protection over you as you travel “life’s journey” with Jesus.
We pray that you will come to know Jesus as your saviour and friend and decide to become a Christian. If you want to talk about this or need help in understanding what this means please speak to your group leader or one of the Beach Club team.
You will be made very welcome at any of the churches on the Island where you can learn more about following Jesus and find help on your journey of life. Services and youth activities are printed overleaf, you will be most welcome.
