Ahoy Shipmates! It’s Beach Club time of year again, and this year we will be having a Friend-Ship Beach Club Adventure. Come and join us for a week of fun and laughter, Bible stories, games, crafts, a daily drama and lots more. It’s a free event, for ages 0-16, organised and run by the Churches on Mersea to show God’s love to children and their families.
Beach Club will be following a similar format to previous years where children are greeted and registered from 9:40am at the start of every morning. Shipmates then gather in the Friend-‘Ship’ area, ready for a 10 o’clock start where we will enjoy songs, games, quizzes and more. After this, shipmates move around the venue on a rota basis where they will engage with a Bible story, arts and crafts, games, including water games and a variety of fun activities. The morning will finish back in the Friend- Ship area.
Please note, Beach Club volunteers are responsible for the activities but parents/guardians are responsible for their children’s safety the whole time, rotating with their children to the different areas. The only exceptions are those children 11 years plus who will have a separate area and their own activities.
So, all aboard the Friend -Ship for an exciting Beach Club Adventure, where we will be learning about Jesus and his friends. We are really looking forward to seeing you all – regulars, and new attendees alike!
